New Facebook Group for Colorists

I can't wait to see how you guys color my designs!  I hope you will share your colored pages with me and for that purpose I have created a Facebook group dedicated to sharing my line art colored by colorists.  I'll be curating it directly as well as hosting contests and the like.

New Shipping Estimate

All that's left now is to get the book's layout ready for my printer!  It will take the printer a few weeks to create the proof and outsource the foil embellishment, however, which means we're looking at a shipping date that is closer to late November/early December.

I'm going to do my best to get the books in the mail in time for Christmas, but I cannot make any guarantees that every single package will make it by then, especially the books that require custom sketches.

To be transparent with you guys, I'm doing what I can, but my husband's health and well-being has come first while we've been dealing with his cancer diagnosis.  He starts radiation with new testing and procedures in December and I will be working as hard as I can while still being there for him.  I ask for your patience with me during these trials and the unpredictable way that they might affect my delivery rate!  We expect and hope that my husband will make a full recovery, but cancer can be unpredictable.

Important Reminders & Updates

Here are a few reminders to make sure everything goes smoothly!

  • Final Shipping Notice. I will send out a notice via email asking to lock in your final shipping address when I am ready to ship orders.  You do not need to notify me of your new shipping addresses until this notice is sent out.
  • All payments have been locked in and successfully charged. We're all set!

Thanks so much for your patience and support while I've been navigating this momentous Kickstarter!  You all have been the best Backers I could hope for.

I'll have more updates soon!  Happy coloring, everyone!

New Pages Reveal + Little Ladies Sneak Peek!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Oct 10, 2018 at 03:05:00 PM

I'm excited to reveal the next set of Stretch Goal pages that have been completed for the coloring book!  I've completely re-drawn each of the fashion designs for the Ladies of the Months so that their lines are neat and clean for the best coloring experience.

Fashion coloring pages now on Patreon!

For those who want to get started coloring early, these coloring pages have been added to my Patreon digital archive as well!  You can pledge here for access to them, plus other perks, including discount codes, tutorials, etc.  Also, just a reminder that those of you who pledged here on Kickstarter for tiers that include the PDF will be getting a complete digital collection of the coloring pages once the entire set of them has been completed, which will be soon!

I also wanted to share the new fashion design I did for this set, which I thought you all might enjoy!  Lady of December, the first ever Lady I created for this series, never had a fashion design since I drew her in a very spontaneous manner. This meant I got to reverse engineer her outfit, as well as create a fun alternate dress for her!

Hindsight is 20/20 and I think I really would have loved her in those puffy sleeves along with the cape!  What do you all think of her alternate look?

Speaking of the completed set, I have some great progress to share on The Little Ladies!  The round framing won out for the most popular format, which I've incorporated into their coloring pages.

If you'd like to get a deeper peek at the creative process from line art to color on the Little Ladies, I'll be sharing their Secret Sketchbook entries exclusively on Patreon.  Kickstarter will still get to see their final completed coloring page designs, but Patreon will be where all the fun process posts will be happening.

I'm making great progress and hope to have the final set of pages completed soon so I can start creating the layout for the book.

Thanks so much for your patience with my pace and our medical challenges. I look forward to sharing the finished pages of the Little Ladies soon!

Progress Report: Unexpected Delays, Progress Pics, and Faeries!
over 5 years ago – Mon, Sep 24, 2018 at 02:33:34 PM

Unexpected Delays

It's been too quiet here on Kickstarter and I wanted to check in to let you guys know I haven't forgotten about you or this project!

There's no easy way to talk about it.  Over the past couple of months, my husband was diagnosed with cancer after having surgery.  I've gone into more detail here, but I had to take the time I needed to support my husband and family, which has led to unexpected delays in my progress.  Long story short, my husband is going to be ok!  His cancer is very treatable and he is expected to need only very light treatments.  It's still a challenge, but we're going to make it!

However, despite everything, I expected some form of delay might happen during this project, which is why my delivery date of November is still the same right now, I just did not plan for these delays to be, well,...cancer!  If I feel like I won't be able to make my expected date, I will make sure to let you all know.  Right now, I'm back to work after dealing with the initial gauntlet of appointments for my husband and expect to keep on schedule.  I will simply just not be able to release early like I originally hoped I might be able to do!

Current Progress

With that said, I have been able to get back to work this past week and have been streaming on Twitch and YouTube regularly while I ink pages, so feel free to Follow me at either place to catch me live while I work!  I've completed 21 of the 36 additional pages that we unlocked via Stretch Goals.

We're nearly there!  Once the additional pages have been completed, I'll be releasing the digital PDF edition of the book via Backerkit to the appropriate tiers so you guys won't have to wait on the digital version while the print version is in production.

Olde Fae Kickstarter

If you enjoyed The Rose Fae I shared last update, the game I created the set for is finally live on Kickstarter!  It has already funded and now we're currently raising money towards the Stretch Goals to add more fun perks, like an enamel pin!  You can check out the project here.

That's all for now!  In the next update, I'll share a preview of all the finished fashion plates of the Ladies.  Till then, take care, all!

Find Me at DragonCon!
over 5 years ago – Mon, Aug 27, 2018 at 05:17:14 PM

I wanted to post a quick update since DragonCon is happening this weekend!  Here's a map of where you can find me in the Art Show in the Grand Halls of the Hyatt.

I'll also have several originals from the Ladies of the Months series there if any of you who are attending and would like to see the paintings live.  Please let me know you supported the Kickstarter, as I'd love to chat with you and say THANK YOU in person!

The Odd Fae

I've finally completed my Seelie and Unseelie Rose Faeries for the upcoming Odd Fae card game, so now my attention can return fully to the coloring pages!  I thought you all might enjoy seeing how they turned out.

If you'd like to keep up with reminders about the Odd Fae card game launching September 17th from the Changeling Artist Collective, you can sign up at the Facebook Event!

Book Progress

ALL declined cards have been processed and I have moved forward into printing all of the Add Ons, buying packaging, etc. All of the small originals have been sprayed with fixative, matted, and bagged and are safely protected while they await the Add Ons and book to be ready.  Now, all that remains is finalizing the layout of the book for the printer!

Once DragonCon, my biggest convention of the year, is wrapped up, I plan to put a halt to all appearances and extra commissions (outside of the limited slots available via my Patreon) so that I can focus solely on delivering a fantastic coloring book for you all.

I'll have more to share soon. Stay tuned and thanks so much for your support and patience!
